DANIEL'S REVIEW:
The third part of a four part miniseries. ‘Pokémon Origins’ has become one of the most surprising shows that premiered this year. It has become a great animated series, besting even its predecessors of the ‘Pokémon’ anime. In my opinion, episode 3 falls a bit behind the two perfectly made episodes. The story isn’t as strong as the two previous episodes, but still leaves a great message that Pokémon are not tools, but friends, family if you will, so it does incorporate a great message into a bit of a thin story. The whole episode was pretty much about battles, whilst others had a great adventure with a battle scene included. I do like how this series goes straight to the point, but the battle scene between Red and Team Rocket boss Giovanni got a bit repetitive towards the end, but nonetheless it was still a great episode with greatly detailed animation and characters that are both likeable and developed. It was cool to see Charizard again from the original ‘Pokémon’ anime. Can’t wait to see how this miniseries ends with the final concluding chapter tomorrow.
