‘Gravity’ directed by Alfonso Cuarón (director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. This movie was amazing, a masterpiece, and the best space film of all time hands down. I won’t go into spoilers, because you need to see it without knowing anything about it to fully enjoy this soon to be classic masterpiece of film. Critics were overwhelming positive, generating critical praise (currently on 98% on Rotten Tomatoes) and it deserved a 100%. This movie is so well-made, beautifully detailed, visual effects were incredible, which took 2 years to complete, great work of cinematography and the whole film makes you feel like you are in space with these characters and the situation they are in. Everyone must watch this movie, it is the best movie of the year hands down and will be nominated for a lot of awards, believe me. This whole film is simply breathtakingly beautiful, that is the best way I can describe this movie. It will make you speechless. Go see it in 3D and on the big screen as you will not be disappointed as I highly recommend watching this film in 3D.

This film is hard to review, partly because its unlike anything I've seen before but also because I don't want to give anything away. The visual effects are the best here since Avatar, maybe better, and it's already worth admission just to see them, especially in 3D. But its the very uniqueness and originality of this film that launches it into the proverbial stratosphere of quality. The dialogue is crisply written and laced with character, used sparingly so it doesn't diminish the storytelling power of the visuals. The slow cutting allows enough time for the wonder of the setting to sink in. Also, there is a subtle comment about what it means to be human. What do two human lives matter out of the seven billion people on Earth? How do they hope to stand a chance against the brutality of space? All in all, I'm not sure what I felt when watching this film and I don't know what I expected but it sure was worth the ride.
