DANIEL'S REVIEW:
S.H.I.E.L.D. is back! And with a few surprises. One noticeable surprise is the return of Mike Peterson. He made his first appearance in the very first episode of the show ‘Pilot’. Finally, S.H.I.E.L.D. recruit Mike as the seventh member of team S.H.I.E.L.D. YES! But this episode was noticeably a better episode than the finale from last year, because this episode brought in references to the show’s great episodes so far such as ‘Eye Spy’, ‘Girl in the Flower Dress’ and of course the ‘Pilot’ that continue those storylines into this one episode. This episode sets up events for the next episode, but does provide enough action, enough drama to lead you up to the last ten minutes, and man, it was heartbreaking. That’s all I’ll say. But I also enjoyed Mike’s problems with being a father and Skye’s quest to find her family was both sad and emotional. That scene was done brilliantly. Overall, this episode had it all. Suspense. Check. Drama. Check. Emotional. Check. Action. Check. Humour? Yes! I should say that Jemma and Fitz were hilarious. This first part of a two part episode was enough to get you excited for the next. Definitely the show’s best since ‘F.Z.Z.T.’.
Daniel's Score: 10/10
