DANIEL'S REVIEW:
NOTE: This review has spoilers, if you haven't seen the episode please don't read this review until after you've watched the episode. It also spoils the second season as well.
After two seasons, ‘Once Upon A Time’ returns with its biggest season yet, season 3, and this time, no more Storybrooke, all aboard to Neverland. I started watching this series, not when it first aired, but after the first series aired on TV, two of my friends asked me to watch this series, as I was not interested in the series at all and not a big fan of fairy tales. But, was I wrong. As soon as I started watching season 1, I was hooked, watching episode after episode. After series 2 being the show’s best season to date, what can season 3 offer to its royal fans, answer, a lot. Neverland looks to be the show’s best setting yet, offering so much promise to be an action-packed, emotional ride. As this season progresses through we’ll see many new characters making their ‘Once Upon A Time’ debut, including Peter Pan. So how was episode 1? Great. I loved this episode. It offered what was missing in its final episodes of season 2, except episode 21 and 22 of season 2, and felt like Neverland was a great decision to make this show feel fresh and new again. All of the favourites are back. Emma, Snow White, Prince Charming, Captain Hook, the Evil Queen, Regina, and Rumplestiltskin, return to find Henry. This episode we encounter mermaids, which I thought we’d might see Ariel, but sadly no, maybe she might appear later in the season. Also, Peter Pan himself, which will be interesting to see how this season progresses through with our new villian, Peter Pan. This episode feels like a road trip, and this was part 1 of the trip, now, just wait for next week when the show will get more interesting as this was a nice introduction into the world of Neverland.
Daniel's Score: 9/10
